The Ocean

This week my teacher gave me a topic of the ocean to create a poster of. I made it of that our ocean is drowning in plastic. So I made this poster for people to realise how important our ocean is. I found this very fun for me to do because i love doing things about water,ocean and heaps more relating to that topic. I am proud of this learning because I put hard work and took my time not rushing to make this quality.

 

Comic Strip

One of my reading tasks this week was to do a comic strip re-telling a story of something that has happen to you or your family and i chose to do something about me. This is about something that has happened to me about my birthday. I found this really fun to re-tell a story that has happened to me that was quite funny

Giraffe Meme

Today my teacher gave my class a task to do a meme and it was for us to make meme's. A meme is a picture of something that you would make something funny out of it. You could make a sentence of something that you think would be funny. I found this challenging because you did not get to pick you'r own picture so that gave me a challenge to use my imagination and make up something funny. I had a choice to share my whole slide or show one photo and this was my funny photo.

Acrostic poem

 Today one of my learning tasks was to do a blog post about anything so I choose to make an acrostic. An acrostic poem is one that uses all the letters in the word or a name. There really easy to write and very fun to write. Here's it works: the word you pick as long or as short as you like it. The acrostic poem doesn't have to rhyme if you want it to. I found this really easy because i have made on in the past so i could just look back and re-think how to do or create this poem. My main goal was to use positive words and to make really detailed.

In lock down I made a haiku poem it is a traditional Japanese poetry. How it works: it works by having a line with 5 syllables, 2nd line has 7 syllables and the last line has 5 syllables. I found this quite easy because I used my tools that i knew that i had access to by looking through my past blog posts or looking going through other people's blog posts for encouragement. 1: On a starry night, 2: The world whispers to the moon, 3: Stars drift with no end.

interesting and fun to do because this made me think

about what information I need to add or take away

I am very proud of my work because I took my time 

to make it quality.

Persuasive Text.

For the past few days one of my classes writing task was to write a persuasive text of kids should or not get more responsibillities. The tools that I used was a paragraph that my teacher wrote on the whitebord. I found this queit difficulet because I had to go back and make more inprovements. My goal for writeing is to know who my audience is and to write for the audience.

3 way conference.

I chose this work because I have added high level detail and descriptive juicy words to make an amazing story. The tools that I used was cards that would be on it like a topic. My next step is to know who my audience is and to write for them.

Glossy waves crashing down on the crunchy golden sand, wind whooshing the crystal clear water on the solid unbreakable rocks while the horizon shone on the tropical water flowing through my hands.

3 way conference

 I'm proud of this piece of work because at the start of the year I was not really into working with much people. But then a gave it a go and I found out it is not that bad so my work that I am showing is work that I worked collaboratively on with my maths group. I found that working with others I can learn off them and we can together to solve the problem. This work is a graph my problem solving group made we are working on statistics and collecting data. 

Cause and effect

This week our topic for reading was pests. So one of my tasks was to make a poster of cause and effect if you are not really sure here is a example: cause was possums eating leaves effect: kills trees. I found this challage a bit easy because I used the people who I knew were exprets and my exaple that my teacher wrote on the whitebord. My goal is to add high level detail.

Persuasive writing

Todays task was to write a pragraph starting an opinon witha reason to the following. Children should attened a longer school day. I agree because the parents might finish at 5o clock and there is 2 hours spear and could be learning more of what they want to do like sports and the paerents wont have to sourt out anyone to take care of the kids. I dissagree because the school might have not told any parents and then they would be waiting at the bustop consered when they would come home.

Digital footprint

This week me and my class were looking at digital footprints. A digital footprint is something you have been on so it is like history our teacher gave us some instructions to do and that was going on to history and being honest of making a map of what we have done in the past 24 hours. We are encoregging people to not go on unsafe/insecure websites.

This week we have been learning about Umu and Hangi. An umu is the Samoan way of cooking food in the ground.We were lucky to have Mr Metzger do an umu at the school for us all to watch and try.
One of our literacy tasks was to create a flowchart about how to make an umu.

Show don't tell.

Last term me and my class in writing were learning about show don't tell. Show not tell writing is using descriptive words to give the reader a picture in their heads. Instead of writing I smell, I hear and I see. Here is a piece of my writing. I found this very fun! because I love writing. This was challenging by me finding juicy words.

Isolated amongst vibrant fields of flourishing crops, sensing luscious flowers while gazing at the unforgettable wild life meanwhile an peaceful sunset shone.
